Katie serves as Executive Vice President and is an Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager. She provides comprehensive portfolio management, financial planning, and tax preparation services tailored to meet the unique needs of her clients.
Katie is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner. She graduated with high honors from the University of Illinois, earning her Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy in 2009 and her Master’s degree in Accountancy in 2010.
Katie began her career at KPMG’s Chicago office, where she worked in the Federal Tax Practice with a focus on alternative investments, particularly real estate investment funds. She later spent several years with Bank of America Corporation at its corporate headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. There, she held multiple roles within the Corporate Tax Department, providing tax compliance, planning, and advisory support.
In 2019, Katie returned to the Champaign-Urbana area to join the Cozad team. She lives in Mahomet with her husband and four children. Katie was named to Central Illinois Business Magazine’s Forty Under 40 Class of 2022 and is an active member of the Eastern Illinois Estate Planning Council and the Executive Club of Champaign County.
