Brett serves as Co-Chief Executive Officer alongside Dae Kang. Brett and Dae chart the overall strategic direction of the company and guide the growth of all its operations, including asset management, tax preparation, and new business initiatives. Brett also serves as Chief Investment Officer for the firm, as well as an Investment Advisor and Portfolio Manager, providing a variety of investment management, financial planning, and tax preparation services to individual and institutional clients. He manages Cozad’s Enhanced Index Strategy ETF portfolios.
Brett is also a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Illinois and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® practitioner.
Brett graduated from the University of Illinois in 2012, earning Bachelor’s degrees in Accountancy and Finance with Bronze Tablet honors. After graduating, he worked for a consulting company in Chicago before joining Cozad in 2014. In May of 2017, Brett earned a Master of Divinity degree from Lincoln Christian University.
He also volunteers on the boards of several nonprofits, including Champaign County CASA and DREAAM.
